Kinds Words About a Good Read.

A recent exchange with a reader prompted me to note this about authors: we all welcome praise, even if we claim to be writing only for ourselves. The kind words in this particular case went as follows:

“…I recently completed your book of short stories…I was thoroughly impressed and absorbed by your characters and their individual plights. I know I am in the midst of a good read when I curl several pages of passages. I especially loved the story "Splendid Purpose." The story had many ebbs and flows within it. I look forward to your future works.”

I am humbled by this reader’s effort to reach out with his thoughts and impressions of A Bigger Piece of Blue. Such kindness stands out in these strange times. #LongLiveShortStory
